Light Up the Sky - The Afters I want to talk about something that many of us wrestle with at some point in our lives: How do we know God is with us when life falls apart? It’s easy to believe God is with us when things are going well. But when life gets heavy… when prayers feel unanswered… when doors close… it can feel like God has gone silent. Over the last few years, that has been a question I have personally wrestled with. The Bible reminds us that God’s presence is not dependent on our circumstances. Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” God spoke these words to Israel as they were stepping into an uncertain future. They were afraid.
