Beautiful, Perfect Praise!!!
The Joy of Praise: Connecting Through Music
Psalm 150:4 "Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!"
Philippians 4:4 reminds us, "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!"
For me, praising God through music isn't just a calling; it's a profound and beautiful way to connect with the One who saved me. I feel incredibly fortunate to use the musical gifts He's given me to worship Him. Playing my bass guitar and raising my voice in song brings me immense joy, especially when I can help others enter God's presence through praise and worship. There's a unique connection I feel with Him when I'm playing—a tangible sense of His presence.
Witnessing Pure Devotion
It's equally moving to witness others praising God. From the stage, seeing the congregation connect deeply with Him fills my heart with joy and an indescribable peace.
This past Sunday, I experienced a truly beautiful expression of praise. Midway through our first song, I noticed a young girl, perhaps seven or eight years old, dancing directly in front of the stage. She sang with her hands raised, then transitioned into a beautiful sign language dance, expressing her praise with such joy and passion that my heart melted. It's rare to see adults worship with such uninhibited intensity. Her actions brought to mind Jesus' words in Matthew 19:14, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children," and Matthew 18:4, "So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven." This young lady was a powerful example of true worship—unhinged, unadulterated, and passionate praise. These are the moments when God's love and miracles truly shine.
A Prayer of Gratitude
Father God, I thank You for allowing me to witness Your glory in action and to see what true joy and praise are all about. I pray that You instill in my heart the humility of this young lady, so that I may passionately praise You, bringing Your joy to myself and those around me. Thank You, Father, for loving us so dearly. In the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Praise Him! Good word bro!
